Seventeen year old Rosie is stuck in the middle of a HUGE issue in the book Someone Else’s life by Katie Dale. Her mother, Trudie, has just died from Huntington’s disease and she is left with her grandparents. Her father died on the day of her birth so she has no one. Her mother’s nurse and also her mothers best friend told Rosie something that would affect her life more than anything in the world. “Trudie is not your mother.” Rosie goes on the hunt of her life to find her real mother who ends up being a huge famous person. It only turns out that she finds her father to. Rosie’s life ends up taking a turn for the worse.
When I read this book it gave me a whole new perspective on life. That when you take a walk in someone else’s shoes, the ride is so much different. You may think you have it bad or don’t think something is fair, but on the other side, someone has it way worse. Try taking a walk in someone else’s shoes and she what their life is really like.
